Ray White’s yearly charity drive, a little ray of giving, returned for its second festive season.
This year Ray White Port Douglas strengthened its partnership with The Mayor's Christmas appeal in conjunction with the Port Douglas Neighbourhood Centre and the Mossman Support Services to help individuals and families who may need some extra support and care at this time of year.
“Christmas is a time for us to give thanks and think about others in our community. A little ray of giving is an initiative we are proud to coordinate. It’s a chance to connect with people in our area on a deeper level and to make a positive impact," Ray White's Mark Flinn said.
The team at Ray White Port Douglas called on the Douglas Shire to join them in the charity initiative and fill their Christmas tree with gifts.
“It was an overwhelming response from local families and businesses which we are so grateful for," he said.
Another Ray White employee reiterated the importance of looking out for others' over the Christmas period.
“The past few years have been a really difficult time for a lot of families in the Douglas Shire," Cassie Flinn said.
"The holiday period can be an emotionally charged time, so it’s important for us to care for others who might be struggling after facing challenges and setbacks.
"We’re very lucky that Megan Blacklow and the amazing staff at The Port Douglas Neighbourhood Centre partnered with us again this year."
