A local real estate expert has moved swiftly to debunk a swathe of rumours about the future of one of the most iconic eateries and accommodation offerings in Far North Queensland.

In recent days there had been much speculation about the future of both the famed Ellis Beach Bar and Grill along with the accompanying Caravan Park and Bungalows.

However, Newsport can confirm any suggestion of the 28 bungalows and cabins, or 46 powered caravan sites being ripped down for development or being replaced, is unfounded and untrue.

“There are no plans for any part of the caravan park to be demolished or redeveloped, that is completely false,” highly respected CBRE managing director Danny Betros exclusively told Newsport.

“It is my understanding some of the bungalows and cabins will instead receive timely refurbs or upgrades in the future but as for anything being demolished or replaced – that is simply not accurate.”

In further good news, the adjoining grill which offers some of the best food in the region will remain.

“Again, to clarify, Ellis Beach Bar and Grill is not going anywhere,” Mr Betros reiterated.

“To be clear unconditional contracts have been exchanged and the caravan park will change hands in January.”
