Songwriting workshop by Kav Temperley (Eskimo Joe)
Did you always dream of becoming a singer-songwriter?
This might be the perfect chance for you to get that last little push.
Join Kav Temperley (Eskimo Joe) in his masterclass exploring the craft of creating on-demand music.
Using his writing technique Kav will deconstruct some of the iconic Eskimo Joe songs revealing the steps that enabled him to take these songs from his couch to a massive radio-ready hit, in an interactive workshop.
Spots for this masterclass are very limited.

Kav Temperley at Tanks Arts Centre
After giving his masterclass Kav will stay in town for a one-off intimate performance at the Tanks arts centre on Friday.
As the frontman, bassist and songwriter of Eskimo Joe, Kav has written, recorded and released seven albums for Eskimo Joe, a record for Basement Birds and just released a second solo record, Machines of Love & Grace.

Last chance to admire Segar Passi’s exhibition
Until this Sunday you have the chance to admire the meticulously detailed paintings and watercolours of Indigenous artist Segar Passi.
Segar Passi is renowned for his artwork inspired on life and culture on his island home of Mer (formerly Murray Island) in the Torres Strait
Passi was born in 1942 and is a self-taught artist who, at a very early age, demonstrated an extraordinary ability to paint the weather systems, cultural knowledge, mythology, Indigenous astrology, marine and bird life, and day-to-day life on the islands in the Torres Strait region.

Flavours of jazz at Elixir Music House
Immerse yourselves in a very special evening of cultural inspirations from the highly skilled and regarded musicians of The Earth Kin Band.
This event is also bringing light to the important role and contribution that Indigenous musicians play in shaping the Australian blues, jazz and reggae music scene here and across the Pacific.
These music genres are directly linked to Indigenous music and ancient rhythms and this event celebrates the rich continuing history blues, jazz and Reggae has on Indigenous music in Australia.
