The tropical rain didn't dampen the spirits of bidders last Saturday with many properties sold under the hammer.

Active bidding in person and online from interstate investors created a great atmosphere for attendees at the roving auctions.

Ray White Port Douglas sold four out of five properties. Mark Flinn from Ray White Port Douglas said that 5 Lake close set a new estate record for a property without lake views at $1,475,000.

“9 Sandpiper achieved 18 bids to reach a sale price of $852,000 and Yiki Street set a street record at $950,000,” Mr Flinn said. “Spirited bidding saw 10 Birdwing sold for $795,000 in under 10 minutes

“This was an outstanding result for the Douglas Shire and shows that the current real estate housing market is still strong.

It was an entire team effort to put together our Super Saturday auction event and I am really happy for our vendors and buyers, we are proud to be able to assist with their real estate needs.”
