RV Park at Mossman gets cash relief

There were two big agenda items at today’s monthly Douglas Shire Council meeting and they concerned an RV Park that’s on its way to Mossman with the support of all Councillors and a foreshore plan that’s desperately needed at Wonga Beach, Newell Beach, Cooya Beach, 4 Mile Beach and Oak Beach.
There were other items on the agenda including two ways to help the youth of our shire and the Queensland Fire and Emergency Services continue their association with the DSC in Port Douglas for 12 months or until such time as the dispute between the Marine Rescue Douglas Shire Inc (MRDSI) and the Australian Volunteer Coast Guard Association (AVCGA) is resolved. Mayor Michael Kerr spoke to Newsport after the meeting.
