The Sharks face an early test of their premiership credentials when they clash against Brothers in a round four blockbuster in Mossman on Saturday night.

Still licking their wounds following a stunning 36-point loss to Atherton in their round three outing the Sharks will look to return to their winning ways against the competition heavyweights.

“Brothers are always a very difficult team to get the points against and Saturday will be no different,” experienced Sharks player Davin Crampton told Newsport.

"They play a very structured and patient type of footy where they build pressure, get to their kicks and look to beat you in the middle.”

The Sharks have had two weeks to reassess following their shock loss to the Roosters.

“We went away from our game plan against them and we paid the price,” Crampton explained.

“We didn’t build pressure, we made too many mistakes and our defence wasn’t great.

“We’ve moved now and have focused on putting on a good show against Brothers.”

The former Pride player still loves his footy.

“I love playing footy now as much as I ever have,” the lock forward said.

“I just love competing, playing footy with my mates and being around the boys.”

Meantime, in FNQ rugby Port Douglas is set to clash with Wanderers on Saturday from 4pm at Raider park.

The Raiders come into the clash following a strong round two showing against Mudcrabs where they took care of the Northern Beaches outfit 43-5.

Lastly in AFL, the Crocs will chase their third win in a row when they battle with Central Trinity Bulldogs in Cairns on Saturday.

Port were sublime against South Cairns in round two at home and will start favourites against the Bulldogs.
