Do it in Douglas: Local business series

Do it in Douglas
Meet Henry Johnston - owner of Spanish tapas restaurant Seabean - who loves the chilled out vibe of Port Douglas.
Mr Johnston visited Port Douglas for the first time in 1998 and he was gobsmacked by the place.
He kept on returning for holidays, met his wife here and eventually decided to settle down in our paradise town.
Mr Johnston has been a permanent fixture in the Port Douglas hospitality scene for almost as long as it’s been a holiday destination.
“The restaurant and the food suits the lifestyle up here,” he says in the video. “We really try to make a difference in town with our restaurant and it’s been very well received by the locals.”
As part of the ‘Do it in Douglas’ campaign, Douglas Shire Council, Tourism Port Douglas Daintree (TPDD) and Douglas Chamber of Commerce have launched a new series of storytelling videos that shine a light on local entrepreneurs and talent.
Do It In Douglas is about encouraging growth and prosperity in the Shire’s small business community.
The launch of nine videos will take people into the lives of those that have realised success in business and life. It also gives an inspiring and equally realistic insight into what it’s like to do business in Douglas.
