A large number of students from Lynda’s Music studio performed in the Classical Gala Concert at the Shire Hall in Mossman on the weekend.

The audience enjoyed solo performances on a number of instruments including piano, Saxophone, Cello, Guitar and Voice.

There were also ensemble performances by Lynda’s Jazz Trio, the Studio String Quartet played an arrangement of Haydn’s Surprise Symphony and Lynda’s Studio Orchestra with seventeen members played Lynda’s arrangement of Beethoven’s 5th Symphony.

The enjoyment and experience gained by students at an event like this is very valuable for years to come.

The raffle raised $220 for the Mossman Youth Centre.

Lynda’s Music Studio would like to thank the Douglas Shire Council for their ongoing in-kind support for these community events.
