A truck and a Ford Ranger were involved in a head-on collision yesterday afternoon around 1:44pm on the Captain Cook Highway near Killaloe.
According to Queensland Police, the incident also involved a third vehicle, a Mitsubishi Outlander.
The incident resulted in one person being flown to Cairns hospital in a serious condition with chest and abdomen injuries. Two others were taken to hospital with minor injuries.
At 12:51pm a spokesperson for Cairns Hospital said that a 68-year old is in a critical condition and a 67-year old is in a stable condition. The third person taken to hospital has already been discharged.
