The first round of the Tin Shed’s Community Grants program has now been funded to a total of $3100.

Mossman Meals on Wheels received $1900 and will use the money to update their desk computer for the kitchen office to service the operations of the service.

The Port Douglas branch of the Queensland Country Women’s Association has also received $1200 and will use the money to replace and repair the screens of the windows and a door of the QCWA branch’s hall. This will help deter the creatures that come with the wet season and all year round!

According to Tin Shed General Manager, Kyle Livingston, both organisations are very worthy of the funding.

“Both organisations needed the money for upgrades and repairs, and we’re very pleased to be able to help them out. Congratulations to both worthy causes,” Livingston said.

The next round of grants is currently open and closes on the 24th of November 2021.
