The rescue helicopter was tasked to Mossman on Monday following a serious motorcycle crash.

A QAS spokesperson said paramedics were called to the single-vehicle crash on Coral Sea Dive in Mossman at 5:25pm 

“A man in his 50s was treated for a significant head injury,” the spokesperson said.

“He was taken by road to Mossman Hospital then airlifted to Cairns Hospital from there in a serious condition.”

A Cairns Hospital spokesperson confirmed the man is now in a stable condition in Cairns Hospital.
