THREE MINUTES WITH A LOCAL

Last updated:

This week’s G'day Port Douglas & Daintree introduces local Daintree Discovery Centre expert, Abi Ralph.

In the video above, Abi talks about how her travels brought her to the Douglas Shire and why she stayed.

Originally from the UK, she backpacked a lot as a young woman and along the way met her husband. They continued to travel the world together and eventually came back to his home country, Australia.

Now, they share a home in the world heritage listed Daintree Forest. Here Abi loves the peaceful, organic lifestyle she leads.

During the day she educates any who visit, and in her spare time she goes swimming and walking along the beautiful beaches of tropical Daintree.

G’day Port Douglas & Daintree is a series of videos featuring Douglas Shire locals sharing their lives and what inspires them to live in this beautiful part of the world.
