Round seven of the Douglas netball association 2021 season kicked off in the juniors with the Stingers taking on the Storm.

A strong first half by the Storm put them in the lead and despite a comeback effort in the second half by the Stingers, Storm held on to win 24 – 8.

Best and Fairest: Hailey Fischer
Players Choice: Cara Fregoni and Tahlia.

In the senior’s division one, the Sharks versed the Drifters. The Sharks took off early and held on to win 42 – 24.

Best and Fairest: Jordie Caroll
Players Choice: Shannen Taylor and Allica Cann

The second division one game saw the Crocs go up against the Cougars. This week the Crocs were too strong for an undermanned Cougars, winning 34 – 29.

Best and Fairest: Karlie Brady
Players Choice: Nichelle Pitt and Mary-anne Zahnow

Division two saw Rattle verse the Magpies. The Magpies kept their noses just ahead of Rattle for most of the game, winning 29 – 37.

Best and Fairest: Jaymie Burcombe
Players Choice: Jaymie Burcombe and Michaelyn Parks

Lastly, the Panthers took on the Poison.

Poison got out to an early start to lead by seven points at quarter time. The remainder of the game was fairly even, however, the Panthers were unable to catch up. Final score 23 – 38.

Best and Fairest: Alexis Rich.
Players Choice: Ebony Dolphin and Eliza Kuik.
