THREE MINUTES WITH A LOCAL

Last updated:

This week’s G'day Port Douglas & Daintree introduces Sandy Davies, retiree, photographer, and women’s health advocate.

In the video above, Sandy talks about how life brought her to the Douglas Shire. She speaks of her life before moving here and how when she did move here it was originally to retire.

She says that her retirement didn't work out exactly as she had planned because of the incredible opportunities she has embraced since.

First, she became a wildlife photographer before she opened an online store for women's health.

She talks about how blessed she feels to have travelled the world and for the Douglas Shire to be her final destination.

G’day Port Douglas & Daintree is a series of videos featuring Douglas Shire locals sharing their lives and what inspires them to live in this beautiful part of the world.
