Moonglow connecting people with moments that matter

BUSINESS FEATURE

In a time when relationships with family and friends have been primarily nurtured on virtual platforms, a gift that has “connection” is truly valued.
No other celestial object has shared so many human moments as the moon. The rhythm of the moon's phases has guided humanity for millennia, creating a lunar time capsule that holds these celestial connections.
Moonglow Jewellery in Port Douglas, a store like no other - in fact, it is currently the only exclusive retail shop of its kind in the world, helping you make a personal connection between significant dates in your life and the most distinguishable moon phase images to the human eye, captured by the Hubble Telescope. These special moments are displayed in personally chosen jewellery to carry your unique moon with you.
Jenny Clarke, owner of Moonglow Port Douglas said "we can show the image of the moon from anywhere and anytime on earth.
“It can be as simple as the date of your birth or any significant day in your life such as a wedding day, anniversary, baby christening, a moment of conquest or even when you lost someone close to you; every moment has a moon,” she said.
“The magic of what we do is when someone brings several special dates forward and we look at all their corresponding moon phases beside each other and see the unspoken synergy and synchronicity between them. This is truly where goosebumps dwell.
“We have had some uncanny connections between partners and extended family members in our store. Sometimes they are either completely opposite or exactly the same in the moon cycle.
“No matter how many years I have been showing people the moon it never ceases to amaze me how the moon speaks to people. Every day we have tears and laughter in our store.
“I love it when lovers have the missing piece in each other’s moon making them whole. So very cool.
“Me personally, I was born just before the full moon and my little son was born on the last crescent on the opposite side of the waning moon – so he completes my moon, that’s something really special to me,” Jenny said.
These connections run through the rest of Jenny’s family with her sister being the mirror image of her moon.
“People often ask me what it means to wear your moon, for me, it’s simply about saying thank you for my life,” Jenny said.
Moonglow offers a unique story by putting the lunar phases into handcrafted jewellery. It can be worn close to your heart or makes a unique and personable gift.
Moonglow is also offering a beautiful pink moon to represent Breast Cancer Awareness.
