A Flood Watch has been issued for the Douglas Shire with predicted heavy rainfall associated with a tropical low to occur today.

Douglas Shire Council encourages residents to be proactive and fill bags sooner rather than later. Please take a shovel!

Sand and sandbags are now available at:

PORT DOUGLAS: Crocs AFL carpark, access via Wharf Street. PLEASE close the bin - else all the bags will get wet.

MOSSMAN: Mossman SES shed at the rear of Council’s Administration Building in Mossman, access via 64-66 Front Street.

DAINTREE VILLAGE: Daintree Village RFS/SES shed.
