Mossman Support Services salute the volunteers

Community
This is a busy time of the year for Mossman Support Services and their annual Mossman Support Services Volunteers Community Christmas Lunch was once again a great success on Wednesday 15 December.
This is when Mossman Support Services staff plan, prepare and host the lunch to thank our volunteers who attend as special guests among the community members also joining us on the day.
Roast pork, Turkey, ham and Marano Fuel’s generous donation of prawns accompanied the delectable salads, all followed by home-made desserts. All goods were kept fresh and ready to serve by the generous donation of Protocool’s cool room.
Over 40 Christmas Hampers have been packed by volunteers and are being collected by community people who registered as needing a helping hand this Christmas.
Mossman Support Services will be hosting their annual free Christmas Lunch on Christmas Day and welcome you to share the spirit of Christmas with them at 20 Mill Street Mossman.
Each year volunteers and staff join together in the preparation for Christmas Day Festivities with the help of many local services and the Douglas Shire Council who donate food and some funds to go towards the Lunch.
This is a special time of year and many attend to connect with their community, share some joy or simply not spend the day alone.
The volunteers, support and donations once again capture the true meaning of Christmas and the heart of the people of The Douglas Shire.
