Acclaimed British photographer Nick Veasey, whose works have been displayed in art galleries around the world, has made a spectacular appearance at our own Sheraton Grand Resort Port Douglas.

Mr Veasey, who works with images created from X-ray imaging appeared via Zoom from his workshop in Kent in the UK.

Interviewed by local Entrepreneur and Art Dealer Darryn Lyons, Mr Veasey took invited guests through the process of creating one of his highly sought after pieces.

The creation, an X-ray of a portable radio was snapped up on the spot by a local collector.

Nick Veasey's photographs are collected by museums around the world, including the famous Victoria and Albert Museum.

During the fly on the wall demonstration Mr Veasey let slip that Beyoncé and Jay-Z got into an online bidding war over one of his works, but were gazumped by Swedish billionaire Markus Persson who made his fortune selling the rights to his game 'Minecraft' to Microsoft.

Darryn Lyons, who has two art galleries in Port Douglas, told Newsport that Nick Veasey's works would continue to go up in value and provide a great investment in the long term.

Some of his famous works include X-rays of Superman and Batman plus a jet fighter and pilot.

Mr Veasey’s portfolio of clients includes Nike, Levi’s, and Porsche.
