A 69-year-old Julatten man has been charged with producing a dangerous drug following a police raid Wednesday morning.

At 9:20 a.m. 14 April Far North officers attended a Hillview Road address where they executed a search warrant. 

Whilst searching the property police allegedly located 71 cannabis plants, drug utensils and a large number of cannabis seeds.

On conclusion of the search police charged the man with one count each of producing a dangerous drug, possession of a dangerous drug and possession of drug utensils. 

The man is scheduled to appear at Mossman Magistrates Court on 12 May.
