Dynamic Running is conducting the inaugural Douglas Dash on Saturday, 19 September and the organisers are encouraging people to participate.

Lorraine Lawson of Dynamic Running said she is excited to host the inaugural Douglas Dash with the competitors battling it out for the Douglas Dash trophy by dashing down Four Mile Beach before tackling the challenging Flagstaff Trail and finishing at Rex Smeal Park.

“The race was originally set to be part of the Port Douglas Carnival in May, but it was postponed to fall in line with recommendations from the Federal Government on non-essential mass gatherings.

“The route follows the footpath from Rex Smeal Park to the Port Douglas Surf Club and back, including a side trip up to the lookout.

There is still time to register and be the first to get your name on the perpetual trophy - if you can dash the fastest,” she said

Registrations close at 6:00pm, 18 September. Register here.
