Douglas Shire AFL fans young and old got a rare taste of the AFL this morning when the Sydney Swans hit town.

The Swans arrived in Port Douglas this morning for a light training session at the home of the Port Douglas Crocs.

Crocs President Barry Lea said it was a fantastic sight.

“A great effort by the Swans to come up and enjoy our facilities and they will also get to spend a couple of hours in town as well.

Mr Lea said it was great to see locals turn out to watch the players in action.

“And it was touching when the players gave the kids some signed footballs,” he said.
