Update:

The 73-year-old man reported missing from Far North Queensland on Monday has been located safe and well.

Police have thanked those who assisted in finding him.

EARLIER:

Police are seeking public assistance to locate a missing 73-year-old man reported missing from Cairns.

Humphrey Mellonius was last seen by family on October 13 and has not had contact with them since October 24.

Police believe Humphrey may be travelling in his red Toyota Camry bearing Queensland registration 207SNC around Mareeba and Kuranda.

Police and his family hold concern for his welfare.

Humphrey is described as having Olive complexion, around 175cm tall and of a medium build. He also has short white hair and brown eyes.

Anyone who may have information about the whereabouts of Humphrey or his car is urged to contact police.
