A 29-year-old man remains in a critical but stable condition in Townsville Hospital after a serious motorbike crash in Cassowary near Mossman on Sunday.

Paramedics were called to a private property in Cassowary at 12.42pm after reports of a serious motorbike crash.

The Rescue 510 helicopter was dispatched to the emergency.

A Queensland police spokesperson said, “the man suffered serious head and chest injuries and was airlifted to Townsville for treatment”.

“The Forensic Crash Unit are investigating,” the spokesperson said.
