This week’s G'day Port Douglas & Daintree introduces local mailman Jack.

In the video above, FAB FM's Paul Makin chats with Jack who shares what it's like to be the Mossman and Cape Tribulation postie.

Whether he's on a bicycle, riding a motorcycle, or driving the four-wheel-drive to deliver parcels, Jack absolutely loves his job.

Jack's father originally began the family tradition in 2008 and Jack recently took over in 2018.

He loves the end of the year because he basically gets to be Santa Claus, delivering presents throughout the region.

As they say, "the mail never stops", and neither will Jack. Jack says that he'd never give up this dream job of his for anything else.

G’day Port Douglas & Daintree’ is a series of videos featuring Douglas Shire locals sharing their lives and what inspires them to live in this beautiful part of the world.
