Touring his third album, titled Flow, the Byron Bay based performer is excited to be hitting Far North Queensland, a place he says feels like a home away from home thanks to our laid-back tropical vibes.
“I love it up there, I’ve had some great shows and there is just something about the weather and the people, it’s laid back and I’m laid back,” he said.
“I’m looking forward to coming up and sharing my album.”
Upon its release in October this year, Flow landed a Double J feature album spot and quickly entered the AIR Independent album charts, peaking at number one on both the 100% Independent Albums Chart and Independent Labels Chart.
Bobby said the album revolves around observing human beings in their natural state of flow.
“I love people watching and seeing people in their element. It reminds me to find my own flow.”
Bobby said the album was a labour of love for over four years with collaborator and producer Paulie Bromley, writing and recording in between touring.
“It was cool having gaps between sessions so we could really get the best out of the songs,” he said.
Bobby’s all-ages show plays at the Tanks Arts Centre on Friday 13 March. Tickets are available from Ticketlink or enter Newsport’s competition for your chance to get your hands on free tickets.
