Four-wheel drive enthusiasts get ready, Low4 Adventures is holding its first 4WD and Can-Am Challenge this weekend.

The off-road racing event will be held in Mareeba and will see 4WD challenges held over 10 stages on 7 and 8 March.

Event organiser and Mossman local, Amanda Healy, said everyone is welcome for a jam-packed fun weekend with competitors coming from all over the Far North.

“Low4 Adventures is a family-friendly 4WD park with tracks ranging from beginner to winch walls and bog holes,” she said.

The club holds regular get-togethers and campouts at the 4WD park in Mareeba, but this will be their first official competition which will include mud holes, technical stages, winching and a night run.

“We have a few winch tracks to put on a show and we also have 10 Can-Am buggies that will be included in this event.

“We also have a huge campground with toilets and hot showers plus an all year-round swimming creek.”

Low4 Adventures is a is a Cairns and Mossman not-for-profit organisation started by a group of 4WD lovers who wanted a safe place to test out their skills.

“They wanted to have a place where people can go out and have some fun on both dry and wet muddy tracks.

“It will be a great weekend, we can teach people about 4WD too, so everyone can come along,” Ms Healy said.
