Queensland Health has today released a coronavirus health alert for people who attended a wrestling match on 14 March 2020 at Edmonton PCYC.

Three people confirmed to have the novel coronavirus (COVID-19) attended the event

“If you attended this event and have remained well, there is no need to be concerned. It is now beyond the maximum incubation period,” Queensland Health said.

“If you attended this event and have experienced fever, fatigue, shortness of breath, a sore throat and/or a cough, then you should seek medical advice. Either ring ahead to your GP or visit the Cairns Hospital Emergency Department.”

Contact tracing is underway for all relevant contacts.

The alert comes as Queensland recorded 55 new cases in the past 24 hours, taking the state’s total to 743.

The official tally for the Cairns and Hinterland Hospital and Health Service currently sits at 24.

Meanwhile, contact tracing has been taking place for passengers on several flights that arrived in Cairns with confirmed cases of COVID-19
