New bar and eatery offers flavours from the Mediterranean to the Middle East
NEW VENUE
Port Douglas’ newest bar and eatery is promising beautiful flavours from the Mediterranean to the Middle East washed down with sustainable wines and funky cocktails.
Sisterly-duo and Port Douglas mums, Lizzy and Karen Fines, are today officially launching Maman, French for mum and pronounced ma-mo, their new, kitchen-bar premises in Grant Street.
Karen said they are extremely excited to welcome everyone in to enjoy a menu of share-style dishes hand-made from the ground up in what is a celebration of good taste and simplicity, handmade with love the way only mamans’ know how.
“Come and enjoy casual dining with some nice farm to table food and sustainable wines,” she said.
Foodies may recognise the sisters from their 17 years running the former OTZ cafe at Four Mile, which they left to embark on their new venture.
“This is a different format and we thought it was time for a change and time to move into town,” said Karen.
Maman is situated at six Grant Street Port Douglas and is open Tuesday to Sunday from 4:00pm to midnight serving share-plates, salads, wraps, and rolls and delicious plates of food with locally grown and sourced produce.
