Wonga Beach man charged with child exploitation
POLICE
Detectives from the Child Protection and Investigation Unit have charged a 65-year-old man from the Mossman area with attempted indecent treatment of a child and possession of child exploitation material.
The man was formally charged Wednesday after officers seized electronic devices following the execution of a search warrant at his home on November 19.
He is scheduled to appear in the Cairns Magistrates Court on January 12

In a separate matter, detectives charged an 80-year-old White Rock man with possessing child exploitation material.
This followed a search of his home on December 15 where officers seized computer equipment.
He was issued a notice to appear in the Cairns Magistrates Court.
