VIDEO | G'day Port Douglas & Daintree: Richard from the Yachty
THREE MINUTES WITH A LOCAL
This week’s G'day Port Douglas & Daintree introduces Port Douglas Yacht Club manager, Richard Stapleton.
In the video above, Richard shares how a child in a military family ended up in the Douglas Shire.
Richard's father was a military man and as a result, they moved a lot. Born in Australia, then moved to Europe, and back to Australia again, Richard certainly knew a lot about where he wanted to settle down and make his mark.
He has now been here for 17 years, 13 of those at the yacht Club.
He loves everything about the region, from the ocean to the rainforest, and couldn't think of anywhere he'd rather be.
G’day Port Douglas & Daintree’ is a series of videos featuring Douglas Shire locals sharing their lives and what inspires them to live in this beautiful part of the world.
