This week’s G'day Port Douglas & Daintree introduces local volunteer, Vivienne.

In the video above, Vivienne tells us how she came to end up in the Douglas Shire.

Starting from humble beginnings, she grew up in Mt Isa in the 50s and 60s. When Vivienne started her own family they visited the Douglas Shire multiple times a year.

Eventually, they bought a holiday house and over the years it became harder and harder to stay away from their little tropical home. So, toward the end of the 80s, Vivienne, along with her family, moved here.

Now, as a retiree, she enjoys volunteering in the community and bringing joy to all those that seek it.
