This week’s G'day Port Douglas & Daintree introduces Port Douglas’ talented international artist, Alteouise DeVaughn.

In the video above, Alteouise talks about how being in the Douglas Shire reminds her of her home in California.

And she explains that after having travelled much of the US and Europe and she decided to settle down in Port Douglas.

She says that when she first saw the local Clink Theatre she fell in love and was re-inspired to continue passing on her vast musical knowledge to others in the community and she shares a taste of her talent in the above video.

When she's not at the Clink she rides her bicycle as an effort to support Kids for Cancer. She says that she loves the community here and that she loves being able to give back.

G’day Port Douglas & Daintree’ is a series of videos featuring Douglas Shire locals sharing their lives and what inspires them to live in this beautiful part of the world.

The project was created by producers Chris Beckwith and Can Kara, in conjunction with the Douglas Shire Council, FAB FM, and Newsport, with footage by Mac Zimmer.
