The Mirage Sunbird Village is set for a comeback
REAL ESTATE
The iconic Sunbird Village, located adjacent to the Sheraton Grand Mirage Resort, is set for a big comeback following a massive revamp of the centre, with commercial spaces now up for lease.
Ray White Port Douglas is offering premium commercial space available at the right price with a selection of property ranging in size from 48sqm to 64sqm (or larger if required).
Cindy Lam-Molnar from Ray White said the Sunbird Village is ideally positioned on the main Port Douglas road into town, and adjacent to The Sheraton Grand Mirage Resort- potentially attracting both the local and tourist trade.
“Lovely palm-fringed and golf course surrounds, plus courtyard area in the centre. There's ample convenient parking. The commercial space will suit a variety of retail/services/wholesale uses,” she said.
Following its revamp, the Sunbird Village (formerly Sunbird Centre) is ready to bring back its ‘heyday’ of almost 20 years ago. Memories of the ‘plantation bar’ where the locals gathered along with the lovely high-end boutique stores and beauty salons may ring in people‘s minds.
“We aim to bring this iconic gem back to its glory days with a new commercial vision to accommodate and allow the potential new businesses or an established one to have the opportunity to expand,” Ms Lam-Molnar said.
“Being mid-town, it is definitely convenient for clientele from surrounding areas including Solander, Mirage Beachfront, Mirage Villas and the Sheraton Grand Mirage Resort holiday guests.”
There are approximately 11 + elegant shop/offices available from all different spaces and sizes to suit your business venture needs.
“During this period of relaunch of the Sunbird Village, we are looking to recruit suitable businesses to join our Sunbird Village. We will consider and negotiate most equitable rent and lease term for the right businesses. Note that there are no Body Corporate outgoing costs to tenants within this complex.
“The businesses and retail that we are interested in recruiting (but not limited to) are; convenience store, hair & nail salon, tourist desk, accountant/solicitor offices, cafes, florist, boutique fashion shop,” she said.
