Queensland government’s Health Minister Yvette D’Ath today confirmed a superyacht crew member in Cairns had tested positive to COVID-19.

The woman, in her 20s, is the region’s first positive case since October, according to the Cairns Post.

The superyacht originated in the Maldives and is one of two new cases in the state today, with the other in south-east Queensland.

This takes the Far North’s virus tally to 46 total cases, including one active.
