The Mossman Showgrounds will echo the word ‘bingo’ when they host the inaugural Bush Bingo, which is being presented by the Mossman Gymnastics Club.

This adult-only event takes place on Friday 21 August at 6pm.

It is an event vastly different set up to bingo halls across the world where people have tested their luck over many years.

Hayley Bender, club manager of the club and a member of the organising committee said the event has been called Bush Bingo which is a change from the norm.

“Chairs and tables will be used in the oval area and local sponsors have kindly come forward to provide prizes.

“We have some great prizes from some great local businesses and are proud to be supporting locals. Some of our prizes include vouchers, hay bales and cowboy hats.

“The club in previous years has hosted a Trivia Night and this year we wanted to change it up and give our participants something new and unique, forming the idea for our Bush Bingo – traditional bingo with a bush twist.

“The entry fee is $27.50 per person which includes bingo, dinner and lucky door ticket (group bookings just $25pp).

“A highlight of the evening is expected to be the mechanical bull, a bit of fun for our ‘big kids’”, said Bender.
