ANZAC DAY

Last updated:
George Laksa was out on his driveway this morning to commemorate the special day. Image: Supplied.
It was a very different Anzac Day today void of traditional dawn services, parades, and Two-Up.
However, it was very special in its own way as people across the Douglas Shire and the Country came together in spirit rather than in person, standing on their driveways at dawn while tuning into TV, radio, or online services to commemorate.
Many residents also created unique ways to honour those who served proving the Anzac Spirit is alive and well despite what the country is currently facing.
Lest we forget.
