Young man charged with several property offences

A 19-year-old Yarrabah man has been charged with seven offences including those related to break-in and burglary in Jewell Close, Port Douglas.

Officers from the Cairns Property Crime Squad yesterday the man with two counts each of fraud, unlawful use of a motor vehicle, one count each of burglary, enter premises and receiving tainted property. 

Police allege the man broke into the Port Douglas residence and an Aumuller Street, Westcourt home and stole property including a vehicle. 

He is scheduled to appear in the Cairns Magistrates Court later this month.
