UPDATE: 
Accident at Cape Trib attraction leaves one dead and one injured

Two people have been injured, one critically, at the Jungle Surfing Canopy Tours in Cape Tribulation today after falling more than 10 metres.

A woman in her 40’s sustained injuries to her arm and shoulder and has been airlifted to Cairns Base Hospital.

Queensland Police could not confirm the status of the second person.

Workplace Health and Safety have confirmed they are now investigating.


EARLIER:

Emergency services are responding to an accident at the popular Jungle Surfing Canopy Tours attraction in Cape Tribulation.

Initial reports are a male is in critical condition and a female has sustained injuries to her arm and shoulder following an unknown incident.

Queensland ambulance service were called around 2.00pm today and Queensland Fire and Rescue are assisting.

Newsport understands a rescue helicopter has also been dispatched to the scene.
