Jungle Surfing to remain closed until March 2020

Jungle Surfing Canopy Tours said today that its Ziplining tours will remain closed until March 2020.
The Ziplining tour was closed last month after an Adelaide man tragically fell to his death while on the Cape Tribulation tourist attraction.
Dean Sanderson (50) was pronounced dead at the scene after falling more than 10 metres.
His 48-year-old wife, Shannon Sanderson, was also seriously injured during the incident and was airlifted to Cairns Hospital.

In a statement released by the company today, Jungle Surfing said they are continuing to assist Workplace Health & Safety Queensland with their ongoing investigation.
“Our engineers and other advisors anticipate this process will take some time. We've made the decision to close our zipline tour until Tuesday 31 March 2020.
“Once we have a better understanding of what caused the accident, our date to reopen may well be revised; we'll keep you updated with any future developments,” they said in the statement.
Jungle Surfing said they are continuing to offer support to staff through counselling and would like to thank the community for their backing over the last month.
“It has been a very distressing and challenging time for everyone involved.
“Our thoughts are with all the family and friends affected by this devastating accident. We want to reassure you that we're working tirelessly to find the cause of the accident,” the company said.
Jungle Surfing will continue to run day and night walking tours through its Jungle Adventure Centre during this time.
