Douglas Arts Studio (DAB) has received a welcome $31,000 cash injection from the state’s Gambling Community Benefits Fund.
The money will be used to acquire a new electric kiln; upgrading the shed area; landscaping and a new sale structure at the outside entrance.
“This is fantastic news and a great boost for us. It involved a rigorous process and we are delighted it worked out,” said a spokesperson for DAB.
DAB is a non-profit community arts group aimed at encouraging artistic development in the Douglas Shire.
