Mossman Gorge brings home more awards for excellence

For The Mossman Gorge, the accolades and awards continue to pour in.
The Centre won the prestigious 2018 Qantas Award for Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander Tourism in the Queensland Tourism Awards.
The Qantas Award for Aboriginal & Torres Strait Islander Tourism recognises tourism operations that demonstrate authenticity and cultivate a greater understanding of Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander culture, history and traditions.
Mossman Gorge Centre has now been the Gold award winner in this category three times: in 2018, 2016 and 2014.
Ocean Safari won silver in the Tour & Transport Operators category while Mossman Gorge was awarded bronze in the Qantas Award for Aboriginal & Torres Strait Islander Tourism.
Ocean Safari, who offer an exhilarating ride to snorkel the pristine untouched Great Barrier Reef off the Daintree Coast at Cape Tribulation, and the pristine Mossman Gorge have won awards at the 2018 Qantas Australian Tourism Awards which were held recently in Launceston.
Daniel Gschwind, chair of the Australian Tourism Awards, congratulated all the winners and finalists from across Australia.
“To reach the finalists stage of the Australian Tourism Awards is a great honour in itself and all finalists should be immensely proud of their efforts,” he said.
“The winners from this event truly are the best of the best, with a lot of strong competition across all categories.
