Two-metre Croc seen at popular Mossman swimming hole

UPDATE: CROC SEEN NEAR ANICH'S BRIDGE APPEARS TO HAVE MOVED ON
A crocodile has been reported hanging around a popular swimming hole in Mossman over the weekend.
Members of the public reported sighting a crocodile about two to two-and-a-half metres in length near of Anich's Bridge on Finlayvale Road in Mossman.
The croc was last seen near the bridge on Sunday morning according to Jabalbina Yalanji Aboriginal Corporation National parks planning officer, Dan Keynes.
Mr Keynes said rangers from the Corporation will conduct patrols of the waterway to try and locate the reptile.
“Our rangers going to do a nighttime survey tonight to see if we can find out about the croc,” he said.
“Jabalbina Rangers are patrolling the area and have erected signs to warn members of the public.”
