Teenager threatens to stab police officer during arrest

A teenager from Mossman has been hit with 10 charges after threatening to stab a police officer while resisting arrest.
The 15-year-old Mossman boy was charged with one count each of unlawful use of a motor vehicle, obstruct police, commit public nuisance, possess a dangerous drug, five counts of possess utensils and one count of possess a knife in public.
Police also charged a 17-year-old Manoora boy with one count each of unlawful use of a motor vehicle and one count of obstruct police during the same investigation.
The two boys were wanted in relation to the theft of a car from Trinity Beach earlier this week.
Police allege the vehicle was stolen from a home in Trinity Beach yesterday morning and driven to the Mossman area where it was located by police dumped on Wonga Beach.
The vehicle was removed from the beach by a tow company and investigated by Police.
Police conducting patrols for persons linked to the stolen vehicle located a group of four people on Marlin Drive, Bamboo at about 4.30pm yesterday.
The 15-year-old Mossman boy allegedly refused to comply with police directions and walked away when questioned.
The boy was arrested however he allegedly threatened to stab the police officer when he finished work and proceded to resisted arrest.
The boy was also found allegedly in possession of a quantity of cannabis, a grinder, two pipes, scissors, a bong, a chop bowl, and a large hunting knife.
