July is Plastic Free Douglas month which will focus on reducing the use of single-use plastics.

During July locals will be promoted doing exceptional things to protect the environment from the impact of single-use plastics.

This week the focus is on Karen Renouf-Thomas, and a program to turn recycled plastic bottle lids into prosthetic limbs. Now is the time to start collecting your lids.

Please share your tips and challenges in reducing single-use - no matter how big or small - and join us in making a difference.
