Calling all ballers: Netball sign-up day tomorrow

The Douglas Netball Association is back again in 2019 - ready for an even bigger and better season.
Association president, Sharon Beechey, said they had a really successful pre-season with a huge turn out to their strength and conditioning sessions.
“We were averaging 35 to 40 girls at each session, all working on improving their fitness levels for the upcoming season,” she said.
“Each week I could definitely see improvements.”
Ms Beechey said if anyone new wants to play they should come along to the sign on day tomorrow.
“We are taking team and individual nominations, so even if you don’t have a team we will help you find one,” she said.
“Last year we had 20 teams across both the senior and junior competitions and we hope to see even more this season.
“It’s a really great way to make friends and get fit, and this year we have introduced part payments for our fees to make it easier for everyone to get involved,” she said.
Douglas Netball sign on will be held at the Mossman Indoor Sports Centre on Tuesday 12 February.
For those 12 years of age and under, sign on is from 4.00pm to 5.00pm, for 13 to 17-year-olds it will run from 5.00pm to 6.00pm and for the seniors it will run between 6.00pm and 7.00pm.
