A new website, My Business Health, launched by the Federal Government, will help small business owners manage stress and mental wellbeing.

Federal Leichhardt MP Warren Entsch said the new website offered free tools, templates and useful tips to help small business owners manage through day-to-day operations.

“The government has listened to small and family businesspeople about the pressures that come with running your own business,” Mr Entsch said

“This new website offers small businesses across Far North Queensland free, helpful resources on how people can better manage their business, while also prioritising their wellbeing.

“Long hours, feeling isolated, worries about cash flow and making critical business decisions can all have a significant impact on mental health.

“It is important that all small and family business owners in Far North Queensland look after their own health and are aware of the resources available to them.”

Mr Entsch said this is not only an important issue for the individual; it has a great bearing on our national prosperity.

“The economic impact of poor mental health in Australia’s small businesses is estimated to cost the economy more than $19 billion a year.”
