The best swimmers from primary schools across the Shire gathered at the Mossman Swimming Pool on Friday to compete in the interschool District Swimming Carnival.
Over 500 students competed across different events with Port Douglas State School winning the day.
Douglas Shire Mayor Julia Leu presented the winner’s trophies to Port Douglas State School captain’s Emily brown and Ashton Ryan.
