LETTER | Do carbon offsets obscure a hidden agenda?

LETTER TO THE EDITOR

Dear Editor,

Council has to be questioned; why they are proceeding down the track of buying carbon credits outside our region (if proven is warranted) when we have possibly more and larger forested areas capturing more emissions than our region emits?

The figures the council quote are possibly being fed by ultra climate change extremist that need to be looked at very carefully as quite a bit of their information is either out of date or very misleading.

Very few if any other councils in Qld have as large a forested area as we have.Is there a hidden agenda? Hopefully not.
