UPDATE

The elderly woman who fell down a ravine at Mossman Gorge earlier has been extracted to the car park.


She will be transported via road ambulance to the Mossman District Hospital for further treatment.

The Ambulance Helicopter was tasked with her retrieval earlier but has since been stood down. 

It is understood the woman in her 80s is in a stable condition with an arm injury.


EARLIER

Queensland Ambulance Paramedics are currently on the scene at Mossman Gorge where an elderly woman is being assessed for injuries. 

It is understood the woman in her 80s fell about 10 metres down a ravine at a location on Mossman Gorge Road just before 11.30am today.

Paramedics are assessing the woman at the scene to determine the severity of her injuries.
