PORT Douglas police are seeking information regarding the whereabouts of missing woman Madeleine Ingle Daly, 47, who was last seen on Saturday, 27 October.

Ms Daly was seen at the Dreamcatcher Holiday Apartments in Port Douglas at about 11.00am on Saturday.

Police and Ms Daly’s family have concerns for her welfare due to a significant history of mental illness and past violent behaviour.

Police believe Ms Daly may be suffering from an acute mental health condition and urge any member of the public with information regarding her location or health condition to contact local authorities.

Police believe her behaviour is part of a pattern and do not believe her disappearance is connected with recent events in the Douglas Shire region.

Ms Daly does not own a car and is reliant on public transport or friends to get around.

Anyone with information regarding Madeleine Ingle Daly is to be forwarded to Senior Constable Dan McLeod of Port Douglas Police on 40871999.
